Site-specific instalace Esence, která vznikla pro prostory Carshütte NordArt navazuje na předcházející instalace v Galerie výtvarného umění v Náchodě a DIVE-IN v (A)VOID Gallery v Praze. Stejně tak je ale v mnoha ohledech unikátní.
Instalace Esence na jedné straně pokračuje ve zkoumání sama sebe, na druhé straně se však dostává až na dřeň, k samotné podstatě existence. Sama autorka chápe význam slova esence jako podstatu či základ bytí nebo základní materiál, který je pro všechny bytosti stejný.
Postavy jako by vznikající z chaosu na dně moře se postupně formují a stávají se vlastními svobodnými bytostmi. Přicházejí odnikud a při pohledu zblízka se stávají nepřehlédnutelnými solitéry. Z odstupu ale tvoří nejednotnou masu a může se zdát, že se zbavily své solitérní pozice a rády se staly davem. Ovšem i v davu zůstávají jedinečnými a neopakovatelnými.
The site-specific installation Essence, created for the Carshütte NordArt space, builds upon her earlier installations at the Gallery of Fine Arts in Náchod and DIVE-IN at (A)VOID Gallery in Prague. Even so, it is in many aspects unique.
On the one hand, Essence forms a continuation of Veronika’s self-explorative journey; on the other hand, it gets to the bottom, to the very “essence” of existence. The artist herself understands the term essence to mean the nature, or basis, of being, or the fundamental material that is the same for all beings.
As if emerging from the chaos at the bottom of the sea, the characters gradually take shape and become their own free beings. Arriving out of nowhere, they become unmissable solitary figures when seen up close. However, from a distance, they form a fragmented mass and it may seem that they have lost their solitary standing and have happily become a crowd. Yet even in a crowd they remain unique and unrepeatable.
